Building a Backyard Mountain Bike Course

Do you have a favorite mountain bike course? We are making one in our yard.

We made the outline of a bermed corner with large sticks, then we covered it with dirt and packed it down.

Here we had to make a bench cut because the ground was uneven.

Snack break!

We made piles of dirt and packed them down to make jumps.

Here I am riding on the first jump.

We put wood chips on the ground here because it was loose.  

We try not to crash on the intersection.
